Back to Normal

Whew... we have had a very busy past few days. I worked half a day on Wednesday and went home to try and finish everything for Christmas but I still didn't get done! We woke up on Christmas Eve and Neal was not feeling well at all. I mean not good at all because he asked if I would take him to the doctor. Let me just say he has not been to any kind of doctor since I have known him.... He must have felt bad! I took him to the doctor and he got a shot and a Z-pack... I don't think the doctor ever told us what the problem was, but being the doctor that I am.. I am thinking a Sinus Infection. We got home and took a LONG nap and then Jett and I were off to the Christmas Eve service at our church. It was very nice and Jett got to see Santa again. Santa came over to talk to him and he just smiled so big. He is such a cutie! After church we went to my Aunt Kim's for a Christmas party and we had so much fun but when we left it was coming a hurricane outside. We got home and Jett went to bed and we played Santa! I think we finally went to bed around 1:00. Christmas morning we got up at 7:30 and opened presents at our house and then had to be at mom and dad's at 8.. I think we got there at 8:30. I wish you could have seen him opening his presents... it was precious. He would have rather have the paper than anything! We had a big breakfast and then opened presents. Jett got a ton of clothes, man socks (as my mom calls them), jammies, lots of books, and the Fisher Price Lullaby Sea Horse! After we got done there we were off to Alabama to Neal's moms. We met Star, Stacey, Matt, Justin, and Uncle O'Neal. Jett opened more presents and got tons of toys, a new fleece coat, and a new Alabama blanket which is very cute! From Neal's moms we went to his Uncle Bob's for lunch. Then it was back to my Nanny's for more family time. Jett is the 1st grandbaby on this side of the family and let me tell you, he is rotten. This child is loved! He got to open his presents here and got tons more stuff.... clothes, a new pair of Robeez, toys, money, and a wooden train from my Nanny and Pop. After we left here we went to my Grandma's, my dad's mom. We ate dinner and opened more presents. My Grandma made him the most precious book... I will have to show you guys. (I am not trying to brag about all of Jett's presents... I am just trying to document so I can remember)! It was a really long day and Saturday we were able to rest... thank goodness. Yesterday we slept in and were making our plans for the day and all of the sudden I felt sick to my stomach and guess what... I had the stomach virus. So my mom came to get Jett and I slept all day yesterday. He spent the night with them and I haven't seen him since yesterday around 11.... I am missing him like crazy! I came to work today so hopefully things will be getting back to normal!

P. S. I will post my Christmas pictures later tonight!

YAY!!!

This little guy slept thru the night last night for the 1st time in about 3 weeks.... YAY!!! He started sleeping thru the night when he was about 2 months and has done great until recently. I am not sure what happened but it has been killing me... let me tell you, it is hard to go to work on 3 hours of sleep! The past week I have been a complete zombie at work... OH well, he can keep me up all night, every night if he wants to! I am blaming the sleepless nights on teeth but I am not for sure. His top gum is very swollen and super red, so I think that they are going to pop thru any day now. Poor little man.... that has to be so painful.

Well I am finally starting to get excited about Christmas.. (it's about time)! I have to work till 12 today and then we can start our Christmas holiday!!! I have 1 more gift to buy and I will be done but as for the wrapping... I will just say I have 4 presents wrapped. I have got to go home and get busy!

# 2

Well I finally got #2 finished.... thankfully!! This is the tree I have been fighting with for the past 3 weeks. Let me just go ahead and say I HATE pre-lit trees. I only got some of the lights to work so I had to use 2 strands of extra lights I just happened to have. I am still debating if this will be the tree's last year at our house! After all of the fighting I think it turned out beautiful. I only wish I could leave it up all year...

And I just had to share this precious picture with you!

CUTE

This has to be the cutest thing I have ever seen! This was Jett during the Alabama vs. Florida game on Saturday... I think he was just about as happy as his daddy was... ROLL TIDE! Check out those 2 teeth on the bottom.

ONE DOWN AND ONE TO GO

Well I have been trying to get my house decorated for Christmas since a few days before Thanksgiving and I am just not having any luck. I just can't get with it and it just doesn't really feel like Christmas time to me, which is sad because I love the holidays! So I finally got one tree done and there is still one to go... not to mention my mantle and piano, etc. Kerry and I started putting Jett's tree up in his room before Thanksgiving and I finally got it completely finished... YAY! Now my other tree is a different story and it makes me just want to SCREAM! I have a huge pre-lit tree and only half of the lights are working and I can't get them to come on to save my life. So my project for tomorrow is to take it apart piece by piece and get it to work.... tell me that isn't going to be loads of fun! To end on a better note here are some pictures of Jett's tree in his bedroom! I LOVE how it turned out. (Kerry... I did find a way to fit every last ornament on it!!!)

I think he is pretty happy with it as well!

Guess Who

Guess who has started sitting up by himself.... you guessed it, Mr. JETT! He has been trying VERY hard for the past few weeks but I think he has it down. He is growing up way to fast. I took these pictures tonight while we were at Cracker Barrell. He was into everything... drinks, silverware, food.. you name it! I think I am going to have my hands full before I know it!

Trying to get my drink

Such a big boy!

5 months

I can't believe my little man is 5 months old.. well almost 6 :)! Time is flying by just like everyone said it would. This is what you have been up to this month.....

  • You weighed 16lbs and 14oz
  • You still wearing a size 2 diaper
  • You are wearing some 3-6 months clothes but mostly 6-9 months
  • I still can't figure out your eyes... sometimes a watery blue and other times a greeny/blue.. very beautiful though!
  • I still can't figure out your hair either.. I really think it is going to be red but other times it is very dark. I just can't wait to see what it will look like!
  • You are sleeping thru the night and have been since you were about 2 months old!!
  • You are such a good baby... happy all the time (well, most of the time).
  • You have 2 bottom teeth that popped out at the end of October and they are getting very big these days.
  • You love to lay on a blanket in the floor and kick your little legs and roll
  • I sing to you at night when I am getting you to sleep and you will just listen so hard while you fight sleep.... You HATE to go to sleep!
  • You blow bubbles like a bubble machine
  • You are still a big talker and I just can't to hear what you have to say!
  • You love to pull and grab everything, including my hair or daddy's hair, clothes... everything!
  • You still put EVERYTHING in your mouth and love to chew on anything...especially your feet!
  • With 5 months came babyfood and you LOVE it! We started with Green Beans and you hated those and still do. You have had almost every kind... Sweet Potatoes, Squash, Peas (you don't really like those either), Carrots, Applesauce, Bananas, Prunes.. I can't think of them all but I can't tell you how much you LOVE food.
  • You are still nursing about every 3 hours.
  • You love to laugh and we love to hear you laugh!
  • I just can't begin to explain what a great baby you are... you are so happy and good... just perfect! I love you more than words can say and can't imagine my life without you.

See what I mean about the feet!

YUMMY!!!

My precious little man! Oh how I love him!

Recap and why I blog

I have decided to use my blog as my journal so I can remember and look back on what we have done. So if it gets to boring...I am sorry! :) I am going to try to do better and blog more often because I am so afraid that I will forget some of the milestones Jett reaches. I think I still have the pregnancy brain because I can't remember ANYTHING!

This past weekend we were SO busy, but then again we always are. Friday night was my brothers last football game... I can't believe he is graduating in May. Jett stayed with Aunt Chris and Uncle Terry while Neal and I went to the game. They played so well and won the game 47 to 6 against Coosa. My brother had a great game with some great tackles. I wish he had more games, I just love watching him play.

Cole with Mom and Dad after the game... can you tell dad was
freezing! It was so cold.

Saturday was the 1st annual New Salem Fire Department Car Show. We had lots of fun and got to see a lot of our really good friends... and of course Jett was there looking super cute! Saturday afternoon Neal went to his cousin Chris' house to watch the Bama game and Jett and I just hung out at home. Aunt Kerry and Cole came over and we went to Wal-Mart with them. Kerry spent the night with us... YAY! We love it when she comes home from school.

Neal feeding Jett his lunch... such a great dad!!

Lunch time... Eric, Kyle, Tyler, Reed, Gracie, Brian, Kenadi, and Dakota

Sunday was a lazy day... I had planned on getting up and going to church but Jett had other plans for us. We had a nap around 10 if that explains anything! Neal went to ride 4 wheelers with his friends and was gone the majority of the day. After we had our nap we went to Nanny and Pop's for lunch...yummy!!!

Me and my big boy!

4 Months

I have been waiting to do Jett’s 4 month post until he had his 4 month well visit and he finally had it last Monday… I am way behind! I promise to do better this month but I feel like I always say that!! He has grown so much… I just can’t believe how big he is. He weighed 15 pounds, 14 ounces, and was 25 inches long…. And his head was 45 cm, Dr. Smith said that was off the charts! He wears a size 2 diaper and is in 3-6 month clothes and some 6-9 months! He laughs and smiles at everything, I think he is going to be a happy little guy! He chews on EVERYTHING… hands, toys, fingers, anything he can get to his mouth. He still nurses every 3 hours and has had Rice Cereal a few times and loved it. Dr. Smith told us today that we can start giving him baby food so that will be lots of fun! He rolled over this month and can roll from back to belly and belly to back… It is so fun to watch. He is very vocal and loves to talk…loud... He gets that from his momma! He makes the funniest noises, my favorite is his Dinosaur noise... he sounds like a Terodactyl. Neal and I are totally amazed by this child, we love him more than anything… he is our world!

“Every good and perfect gift is from above…” James 1:17

Jett's 1st bite of Rice Cereal... he was not so sure!

It took forever to get a picture... he kept trying to eat the sign!

DC vs Sonarville

Tonight DC played at Sonarville. We had to stay home because Jett has a Respiratory virus and we didn't want him to get any worse than he already is! So, we stayed at home and Jett and I listened to the game in the car. Of course we had to put on Jett's button to support our Uncle Coley! Cole caught an On-side Kick.... how exciting!!! Dade won the game 41 to 15... we were so sad we missed it but glad we got to hear it and glad to keep Mr. Jett healthy!

DC vs Towns County

We just got home from the Dade vs Towns County ballgame and it was so good. The boys did an amazing job and ended up winning 56 to 12. Uncle Coley, my brother, has a hurt arm so he didn't play as much as he usually does but he did good when he did play! GOOOO COLE... #25 is our hero!!!
Taking a much needed break!

Uncle Coley and his #1 fan... he looks like he has a
black eye but he said it was paint!

Always chewing on those hands

This picture is so blurry but it is my favorite... that red hair just stands
out... I thought it was to cute!

3 Months

On September 12, 2009 Jett turned three months old. He is wearing size two diapers and three to six month clothes. He is so much fun to be around especially now that he has found his "loud voice." He talks and smiles nonstop and has laughed outloud several times! He is the happiest baby and has a great disposition... very calm (just like his mother...haha)!! He has started to hold things in his hands and everything he picks up goes straight to his mouth... He chews on EVERYTHING. He is drooling like crazy so I am wondering if he is starting to get some teeth.

Notice the drool on his shirt!

I couldn't decide what picture I liked better
so I just put them both up!!

Playing piano with his daddy... he was loving it!

Chewing on his favorite elephant... Ernie! All his animals have names ;)

Rod Run 2009

This past weekend we loaded up and headed to the annual Rod Run in Gatlinburg, TN with our best friends Natalie and Brian. We usually go to Gatlinburg a few times a year for Neal's work trip and to go shopping but it isn't really my favorite place but it can be a nice get-a-way. There were so many people there you couldn't move much less drive anywhere... I have never seen so many people in my life. The cars were lining the streets and we loved looking at them all. Brian has an old car and Neal is aching for one..we will probably have one before you know it!!!

In the Saturday attire.. Jett is saying
ROOOLLL TIDE!

Neal loves the muscle cars.. the louder the better!

This type of car is my favorite.. I don't know what they are
called but I call them Bubble cars!

Jett was so good all weekend... He really enjoyed looking at the old cars
but was not so sure about the heat!

Looking at all those cars was exhausting!

Better Late Than Never

Since Jett is almost 3 months old, I thought I better do his 2 month post!!! HA HA!! He weighed 11lbs and 5oz. and was 23 and 1/4 inches long. He is still such a good baby and is changing every day.
This is what we learned to do during this month!
