Catch Up

Well I know I am officialy the worst blogger but we have had an EXTREMELY busy last few months. I am going to try to get everyone caught up on what has been going on with us since the beginning of May! I will do one post at a time... SO May 1st!

We started our month off with another doctor's appointment. Jett woke up not acting like himself and he wasn't eating well so we were off to the dr. Jett saw Dr. Rawlings that day and was not very happy that Dr Smith was not working! I think he cried the entire time Dr. R examined him. He thought he had Strep Throat but thankfully that test was negative but he did say he had some type of throat infection and another ear infection in BOTH ears.... geez!! So another antiobiotic once again.... Augmentin this time. After he started the antibiotic he was MUCH better!






That night was the Mother Daughter Banquet at our church and I debated all day on whether or not to go because Jett was sick. We ended up going and he did so good... as always! We went with my mom, sister, 2 of my mom's sisters, and my cousin Canaan. We had a really good time and we got to spend some quality time with my mom!

A Year Ago Today

A year ago today I had my 38 week doctor's appt with Dr. Bowers. I had an ultrasound scheduled for that morning to check Jett's measurements and weight and my appt with the doctor was later on in the afternoon. I can remember it like it was yesterday! I went for my ultrasound and I got to see the little guys beautiful face and it made my day. She started with the measurements and told me that Jett hadn't gained any weight in the past week and he had developed a Hydrocele. She said Hydroceles were normal in little boys and it was nothing to worry about but that is just something you can't tell a pregnant lady! I was EXTREMELY worried. My appt with Dr. Bowers went great... my BP and swelling were both down but he was concerned about Jett not gaining any weight. He told me we probably needed to schedule a C-Section (which he was already planning on doing due to Jett's weight) for 1st thing tomorrow morning! OH MY... I was shocked but I was SO ready! I can't believe that a year has already passed! He was worth every pound I gained (which was alot) and every stretch mark I still have!!!! He has made my life absolutely perfect!

11 Months

I have been waiting to do Jett's 11 month post until I could get a better picture of him but that just doesn't happen these days. He is so busy all the time. I know I always say this but I am in shock that he is already 11 months old and about to turn 1 year old. He is getting so big and turning into such a little.. I mean big boy.

11 Months

May 12, 2010

• You weigh 23.3 lbs.
• You moved up to a size 4 diaper because the 3s were cutting off your circulation!
• You are wearing 12-18 month clothes.
• He is still a wonderful sleeper but hates to fall asleep.. he fights sleep so bad!
• He has always been a momma's boy but he has REALLY turned into one these days and I love it. He always wants to be in the same room as me or do whatever I am doing. He even goes in the bathroom with me!

• He is still a GREAT eater and will eat just about anything. We started eating the Gerber Lil' Crunchies this month and he LOVES those. He has had the Mild Cheddar and the Veggie Dip... we still haven't tried the Zesty Tomato but I heard those are the best!
• He eats just about any kind of table food and I think he would rather have that than his baby food but I can't say I blame him.
• He has 9 teeth.. 4 on top and 5 on the bottom. He got one of his Molars this month and he looks so cute when he smiles.

• He smiles all the time and is still such a happy little guy! He is so pleasant and easy going.. He gets that from me!
• He is a pro at drinking from a cup and he has learned to sip from a straw. He thinks that is funny and it always makes him laugh.
• We still have the paci but I am hoping to loose those soon.
• He is SO close to walking.... I am thinking it is going to happen any day now. He stands by himself at time but when he realizes he isn't holding on to anything he either squats down of grabs the nearest thing!

• He loves to play with anything. He has more toys than he knows what to do with but he is so fascinated by all of them. He really likes the ones that play music.
• He still loves to dance!
• He talks more each day and has started to make these screaching noises. I think he finds them funny because he laughs so hard after he does it!.
• He is starting to be a loud little guy and he is SOOOO active. I can hardly keep up with him and I am just wondering what I am going to do when he starts walking.
• He is so playful (and amazed) with anyone. He loves to interact with people.

I forgot to tell you how much Jett loves Ice Cream!

• He plays tug of war with his dad and makes the funniest face and growls when he is trying to get whatever they are "tugging" for.
• He has started clapping and he claps when he does something good or if someone else does good.
• He loves being outside and will play as long as we will let him. He tried to eat a worm this month while we were working in yard one day. I am glad I looked to see what was in his hand and heading for his mouth.

• He rode his 1st horse. Neal and I both grew up around horses and Neal and my dad are both crazy about them.... well I think Jett has the fever. He loves them and rubs on them and plays with them. You can just tell by his face that he is amazed!
• He hates to sit down these days. He always wants to be up on those feet and moving around. He cruises around all of our furniture.
• He has the best little personality and is SO much fun to be with!
• I am so thankful for him and I can't imagine my life without him in it.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day! I am working today but I just got this picture on my phone. Guess who is standing up all by himself this morning. Neal just called and said that Jett took 4 steps all by himself. What an exciting Mother's Day present!

Spring Rod Run 2010

I thought I should probably post some pictures from Rod Run before I forget! We went to the Spring Rod Run the weekend of April 16th and had a great time! We met Natalie, Brian, Brian N, and Dakota up there after I got done with work on that Friday. We stayed the weekend and....

ate LOTS of YUMMY food......

spent lots of time with Mommy.....

went to the candy shop with daddy......

did LOTS of shopping (which isn't Jetti's favorite thing to do)....

played with our cousin Marley (don't you just fall in love with Jett's pirate face)...

We had SO much fun but life is very different with 2 little people instead of just one!

10 Months

10 Months

It just seems so crazy that I just typed 10 months. I can't believe that in 2 short months he will be 1 year old! He is turning into such a little boy. He weighed 22lbs and 12oz at our last visit to the doctor. We had to go this month because he had a Sinus Infection. He got put on another antibiotic, this time it was Cefzil (just for my memory)! We only had to do one round though! For the most part Jett has been a VERY healthy guy. He has only had 1 ear infection and this sinus infection and that is REALLY good to be 10 months old. He is still wearing a size 3 diaper but I think we will be at a 4 when we do our 11 month post. 3s are getting a little snug! He is wearing 12-18 month clothes. He is still a great little sleeper. He usually sleeps around 10 hours every night. Nap time comes and goes! If he is at home he takes 2 or 3 30 min to 1 hour naps but naps usually don't happen at the beauty shop! Jett said moma for the first time this month (04-03-10) and happy doesn't describe how it made me feel!!! I have been waiting on that forever! Now he says it probably a million times a day but that is fine with me! He is still a great eater and will just about eat anything I put in front of him. He started eating the Gerber Yogurt Melts and thinks they are really tastey. He is eating some table food and prefers that over baby food. Can't say I blame him! He still has 8 teeth (4 on bottom and top) but I think he may be working on some new ones. He pulled up on April 9 and is becoming a pro at that but we are still learning how to keep our balance. He is SO busy. He is on the move all the time. He zooms from one end of the house to the other in his walker. He seriously goes so fast in that thing... it is SO funny to watch! He tried a Sippy cup last month and he was not interested but I gave him one again this month and he was an instant pro. He has a Sweet Tea addicition just like his moma!! He still takes a Paci but only if he is mad, sad, or trying to go to sleep. I am trying to slowly move away from the Paci. He is still such a social butterfly. I don't think that is going to change either! He is still the best baby. I know I always say that, but it is the honest truth. He really only cries when he is sleepy. He has turned into such a talker... he really talks ALOT. He says ba-ba, da-da, MOMA (!), makes the T sound, and the P sound. He can "click" now and can do the tongue trick (like stick his tonuge out and blow to make spit bubbles and lots of noise). He does those both all the time! He is also a little copy cat, anything someone does he will mock them. He loves to drive (or pretend to drive) Neal or my dad's truck. He drives and dances all at the same time! He got a big boy car seat this month and he seems to like it! He just looks so big in it! He has turned into such a little ham. He is SOOO funny and SO much fun to be with. I love him SOOO much. I can't believe how much he has changed!

A Late 9 Month Post

My little guy turned 9 months on March 12. He changes so much everyday.

Turning into a little boy!

• You are still wearing a size 3 diaper.
• This is the 1st month we had to buy diapers... we were SO blessed to get so many from our family and friends before you were born.
• At your 9 month check-up you weighed 20 lbs and 2 oz. You had lost some weight from your 8 month weight but you were naked when you weighed this time and I think you have lost a few ounces because you are SO busy!
• You were 28 inches long and your head circumference was 49 cms... you have a large head!!
• You are still wearing 6-12 month clothes but I have started to buy a few 12- 18 month things because the others are a little snug!
• You are such a great sleeper. When you are at home you take 2 really good naps from anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours but when you spend the day with your Nanny you take a few 10 minute naps! You are still sleeping thru the night. You go to sleep around 9:30 or 10 and wake up to have a bottle at 6:30 and go back to sleep until about 10! You even slept one day until 10:30.

• You are still a GREAT eater. You are still eating all kinds of table food but you are starting to enjoy table food more than anything. When we saw Dr. Smith at the 9 month check up he said you can have anything except for nuts, peanuts, hotdogs, popcorn, and honey. You really haven't turned down anything! Just like your mother!!
• You had the Gerber Puffs for the 1st time this month and you feel in love! I think you would eat an entire container if I would let you. You must think they are really yummy!
• You started drinking 8 oz in your bottle. You still like to have milk every 3-4 hours. You drink the Similac Advance or the Similac Sensitive. Dr. Smith said no whole milk until 12 months.

• You are still the best baby. You are so happy all the time and love to smile at everything! Your smile brightens my day!
• You had your 1st ear infection this month... actually on the day of your check-up. It was on the right side and you had to be on an antibiotic.... Amoxicillin!
  
  


• You love to be around people and you like to hang out with your friend Grey! You chase after Grey but he can crawl REALLY fast!
• You have 8 teeth... 4 on bottom and 4 on top!
• You have really became a big explorer this month. You love to find new things and you are very curious about them when you do find something new.
• You are still doing the army crawl but I think you are closer to getting on your knees than you were. You can really move fast when you do your little army crawl.
• You have a walker and you zoom around everywhere in that. You can get around so well but we have to put up some gates because you try to eat plants, climb down stairs, and put your fingers in the electrical sockets.

• You had your 1st hair cut this month. It wasn't a whole head hair cut we just trimmed the hair over your ears because it was way too long. Your Nanny Linda cut it and you did a great job. You weren't really sure what was going on at first... I think it probably was scratching your ear!
• Your Papa Johnny died this month on February 24, 2010. He had a very bad heart attack. It breaks my heart to know that you will never get to know him. You were his 3rd grandson and he was very proud of you. He came to see you at your Nanny's not to long ago and I am so glad.
• Time is flying way to fast and you are getting way to big... You are turning into a little boy! I love you SOOOO very much.
